Systematic position: The wheat thrips (Anaphothrips obscurus) belongs to the order Thysanoptera and the family Thripidae. This insect is a widespread polyphagous pest found in temperate regions across the globe. Host plants: This pest primarily targets cereal crops, including wheat, barley, rye, oats, and maize.
