Anastrepha manizaliensis is a destructive species of tephritid fruit fly belonging to the order Diptera. This insect is a significant concern for horticultural production within its native range, primarily in South America, where it can cause substantial economic losses.

The pest primarily targets a variety of tropical and subtropical fruits. Key host plants typically include members of the Myrtaceae and Anacardiaceae families, such as guava and mango, which are vital agricultural commodities in the affected regions.
