Description
The Double Lobed moth (Apamea ophiogramma) is a species of moth belonging to the family Noctuidae. It is a recognized pest within the order Lepidoptera, commonly found across Europe and parts of Asia, where it inhabits moist grasslands, riverbanks, and agricultural fields.
Adult moths have a wingspan typically ranging from 30 to 35 mm. Their forewings feature a distinctive brownish-grey pattern with a dark, wavy mark, which gives the species its common name. The hindwings are generally lighter in color, often showing a dull greyish-brown hue.
