Apanteles (scientific name: Apanteles breviventris) is a genus of wasps within the Braconidae family, belonging to the order Hymenoptera. In agricultural entomology, these insects are frequently studied due to their close biological associations with various lepidopteran species that cause significant damage to commercial crops.

These insects primarily target larvae of moths and butterflies found in vegetable gardens, grain fields, and orchards.
