While many eulophids are known as parasitoids of other insects, this specific species is frequently associated with gall-forming organisms, making it a notable pest that disrupts plant development through its interaction with existing galls.

This pest typically infests plants that are already suffering from gall midge (Cecidomyiidae) activity.
