Autoplusia is a genus of moths belonging to the Noctuidae family, within the order Lepidoptera. These insects are recognized as significant pests in agriculture and horticulture, as their larvae (caterpillars) are voracious feeders that can inflict substantial damage on various plant species.
The host range for Autoplusia includes a variety of economically important crops, including vegetables, pulses, and ornamental flowers. They prefer tender plant tissues, which makes seedlings and young foliage particularly susceptible to infestation during the active growing season.
