Brachycerus is a genus of weevils known for causing significant damage to various botanical families, particularly plants with bulbs. These beetles are characterized by their robust bodies and short, thick snouts. They are recognized as serious pests in both agricultural fields and ornamental plantings, where they can severely impact the quality and yield of crops like garlic, onions, and lilies.

Taxonomically, this genus belongs to the order Coleoptera and the family Curculionidae.
