The primary hosts of this aphid are cultivated strawberries. The insects typically form dense colonies on the undersides of leaves, along the petioles, and in the crown area of the plants, feeding on phloem sap and depleting the plant's nutritional resources.
The biological cycle of this species is complex and includes several generations per season. They overwinter as eggs, typically located at the base of the strawberry petioles.
