Chrysomelobia is a genus of specialized parasitic mites belonging to the family Podapolipidae (order Trombidiformes). Unlike typical agricultural pests that feed directly on plant foliage, these mites are obligate ectoparasites of coleopterans, specifically targeting leaf beetles (Chrysomelidae).

The host range of Chrysomelobia is generally restricted to the adult stage of various leaf beetle species. These mites attach themselves to the insect's cuticle, typically seeking protected areas such as the sub-elytral space, where they can feed on the host's hemolymph with minimal disturbance.
