The host range of the Texas spittlebug primarily includes a variety of shrubs and herbaceous plants. They are frequently found on plants like sagebrush and other related species. While their distribution is specific to certain geographic zones, they can pose a nuisance in both agricultural and ornamental settings, often colonizing plants that are already experiencing some form of environmental stress.
