Description
Dichroplus is a genus of grasshoppers within the family Acrididae. These insects are recognized as significant pests in various agricultural regions, particularly in South America, where they often form large populations that pose a constant threat to local farming and food security.

They target vital agricultural crops, including cereals such as wheat and corn, as well as legumes like soybeans and alfalfa.
