Dissosteira is a genus of grasshoppers within the family Acrididae. These insects are active phytophagous pests that, during periods of population outbreaks, can cause significant damage to agricultural crops and grazing lands. The host range for these insects is broad, encompassing various grasses, cereals such as wheat and corn, vegetable crops, and diverse wild vegetation.
