Dnopherula is a genus of insects belonging to the family Acrididae within the order Orthoptera. These insects are recognized as potential pests, capable of causing significant agricultural damage when environmental conditions favor their mass reproduction, impacting both cultivated fields and natural grasslands.

The primary food sources for this pest include various cereal crops such as wheat, barley, oats, and millet. In addition to cultivated plants, they frequently feed on wild grasses in pastures, creating a competitive pressure on livestock and reducing the available biomass in grazing areas.
