The pink bollworm Earias roseifera is a significant agricultural pest belonging to the order Lepidoptera and the family Noctuidae, subfamily Eariadinae. Cotton is the primary host crop damaged by this pest. The larvae specifically target the generative organs of the plant, which directly impacts the quality and yield of the fiber.
