The rice root weevil (Echinocnemus oryzae) is a significant pest belonging to the order Coleoptera and the family Curculionidae. This species primarily infests rice crops (Oryza sativa). While the adult beetles feed on the foliage of young plants, the larvae are the most damaging stage.
