Checkered beetles of the genus Enoclerus belong to the family Cleridae within the order Coleoptera. These pests are primarily associated with coniferous and deciduous forest trees. They frequently inhabit stressed or dying trees, where they occupy the niche created by bark beetles and wood borers.
