Ericaphis fimbriata, commonly referred to as the heather aphid, is a member of the Aphididae family within the order Hemiptera. The primary hosts for this aphid include species of Erica and Calluna. They prefer to inhabit the tender parts of the plants, such as the apical shoots and the undersides of the foliage, where they can feed undisturbed while being shielded from weather conditions and natural predators.
