The grape leafhopper (Erythroneura plena) is a member of the Cicadellidae family within the order Hemiptera. It is recognized as a significant pest in viticulture, known for its ability to quickly colonize vineyards and cause physiological stress to grapevines through its feeding habits.
The primary host plant for this insect is the grapevine (Vitis vinifera). The pest is particularly problematic in warmer viticultural regions, where favorable environmental conditions allow the leafhopper to complete multiple life cycles rapidly throughout the growing season.
