Description
Euconulus is a genus of small, terrestrial, air-breathing land snails belonging to the family Euconulidae within the order Stylommatophora. These organisms are commonly found in damp environments, thriving in leaf litter, dense vegetation, and the upper layers of moist soil where they seek refuge from desiccation.
As a garden pest, Euconulus species are known to feed on a variety of agricultural and horticultural plants. They are particularly attracted to tender seedlings, vegetable crops, and ornamental plants that grow in humid, shaded areas where the soil remains damp and favorable for their movement.
The biology of these snails is heavily dependent on moisture levels. They are primarily nocturnal, emerging to feed when humidity is high.
