Eugaurax setigena is a specialized insect pest belonging to the Chloropidae family within the Diptera order. As an agricultural pest, it primarily affects cereal crops, creating significant challenges for farmers during the early vegetative stages. The host range of this insect includes various small grain cereals such as wheat, barley, and rye. Larvae are the primary damaging stage, feeding internally on the stems of young plants.
