The genus Eunectes, commonly known as anacondas, belongs to the Boidae family of snakes. From an agronomic perspective, it is critical to state that these animals are not agricultural pests. As apex predators, their entire biological cycle is focused on hunting live prey, such as fish, birds, and mammals, rather than consuming vegetation or plant tissues.
