Description
Lamprocapsidea is a genus of insects belonging to the family Miridae (plant bugs), within the order Hemiptera. These insects are well-known phytophagous pests that can cause economic damage to a variety of agricultural and horticultural crops by feeding on plant sap.
Host plants commonly affected by this pest include various species of Asteraceae, Solanaceae, and other herbaceous crops. They are frequently found in gardens and commercial farms, where they target the tender tissues of leaves and young stems during the primary vegetative growth stages.
