Description
Languria is a genus of beetles belonging to the family Languriidae (lizard beetles) within the order Coleoptera. These insects are known for their slender, elongated bodies, which are an evolutionary adaptation that facilitates their movement within the stems and tissues of various herbaceous plants, where they fulfill their life cycle.
The primary crops affected by Languria include forage legumes like alfalfa and clover, as well as various wild and cultivated herbaceous species.
