Great grey shrike

The Great grey shrike (Lanius excubitor) belongs to the order Passeriformes and the family Laniidae. Despite being a passerine, it is a formidable avian predator known for its distinct hunting strategy and high level of territorial aggression, which distinguishes it from most other garden birds.
