Description

The chrysanthemum aphid (Macrosiphoniella trimaculata) is a specialized insect pest belonging to the Aphididae family. It primarily infests plants within the Asteraceae family, with a specific focus on cultivated chrysanthemums, making it a significant concern for commercial nurseries and home gardeners alike.

This pest causes damage by piercing and sucking plant sap from tender new growth, foliage, and developing flower buds. The feeding process induces stunted growth, twisting of leaves, and deformation of the blooms.
