Macugonalia is a genus of insects belonging to the family Cicadellidae (leafhoppers) within the order Hemiptera. These insects are recognized as significant sap-feeding pests that utilize specialized mouthparts to pierce plant tissues and extract nutrients, often causing physiological stress to their hosts.

The host range of Macugonalia includes various woody perennials, ornamental plants, and agricultural crops.
