Monobremia

Monobremia is a genus of gall midges belonging to the family Cecidomyiidae within the order Diptera. These insects are well-known in agricultural entomology, particularly as specialized predators that play a crucial role in controlling populations of spider mites and other small arthropods on various crops.

The host range for Monobremia activity typically includes vegetable crops, fruit trees, and ornamental plants, especially in greenhouse environments.
