The genus Morsea belongs to the order Orthoptera and the family Acrididae. These insects are classified as specific agricultural pests, primarily thriving in arid and mountainous environments where they interact with various botanical species, often resulting in significant feeding pressure on local vegetation.
Crops susceptible to Morsea infestations include various cereals, legumes, and forage grasses. Due to their herbivorous nature, these insects can cause substantial economic losses in agricultural regions.
