Description
Neoborus amoenus is a species of plant bug belonging to the order Hemiptera and the family Miridae. This insect is primarily recognized as a specialized pest that feeds on the foliage of ash trees (genus Fraxinus), causing significant damage to both wild and urban trees.
The primary host for this pest is the common ash. In residential areas and nurseries, high populations of this bug can lead to aesthetic degradation of the trees, as well as reduced photosynthetic capacity, which affects the long-term health and growth vigor of the specimen.
