Neokolla

Neokolla is a genus of insects belonging to the family Cicadellidae, commonly known as leafhoppers. These insects are classified within the order Hemiptera. While often overlooked due to their small size and camouflaging behavior, they act as significant pests in various agricultural and horticultural settings, impacting both plant health and aesthetic value.

The host range of Neokolla is quite extensive, encompassing a variety of woody perennials, fruit trees, and ornamental shrubs. They are particularly troublesome in viticulture and nursery production, where they congregate on the undersides of leaves and on succulent stems to extract vital plant fluids, which weakens the host plant over time.
