Biology and lifecycle
The lifecycle consists of egg, five nymphal instars, and the adult stage. Development is highly sensitive to ambient temperature and humidity levels. Females typically oviposit into the succulent tissues of host plants. The predatory nymphs are highly active and begin hunting small prey almost immediately after emerging from the egg stage.

Feeding habits and importance
This species is a voracious predator, feeding primarily on various species of thrips, spider mites, and aphids. By piercing the prey and extracting its body fluids, it significantly reduces the population density of these pests.
