The Variable Quaker (Orthosia munda) is a moth belonging to the family Noctuidae. It is a common species found across Europe and temperate Asia, frequently encountered in deciduous woodlands and neighboring orchards. As a moth that emerges early in the season, it can occasionally cause significant damage to the buds and early foliage of fruit trees.

Their coloration is highly variable, often showing shades of ochre and brown, which provides effective camouflage against the bark of host trees during the daytime.
