Description
The Rice grasshopper (Oxya velox) is a significant pest belonging to the order Orthoptera and the family Acrididae. This species is widely recognized for its impact on rice production, particularly in humid tropical and subtropical environments where irrigation systems provide a stable habitat for its development.
