Unlike web-spinning spiders, this species is a cursorial hunter, relying on speed and camouflage to capture prey. Its vibrant green body, often featuring red spots, allows it to blend seamlessly into various green foliage, making it a highly effective ambush predator.

The biology of Peucetia viridans is centered around its life cycle, which involves the deposition of eggs within protective silk sacs. Female spiders are famously protective of their egg cases, remaining in close proximity until the spiderlings emerge.
