Phytoseius (Latin: Phytoseius) is a genus of mites within the family Phytoseiidae, order Mesostigmata. These mites typically infest a variety of woody plants, fruit trees, and select ornamental shrubs. They primarily inhabit the abaxial surface of leaves, where the microenvironment provides sufficient protection and access to plant tissues necessary for their life cycle and colonization processes.
