It is frequently observed on various ornamental plants, fruit-bearing trees, shrubs, and greenhouse crops, often causing severe physiological stress to the colonized specimens due to its rapid colonization ability.

Biology and life cycle: The life cycle progresses through egg, nymph, and adult stages. Females often produce ovisacs (egg sacs) covered in waxy filaments to protect their progeny. The first instar nymphs, commonly referred to as crawlers, are the primary dispersal stage, capable of moving between plants or being carried by wind or horticultural tools.

Damage and economic impact: The pest feeds by inserting its stylets into the plant's vascular tissue to extract phloem sap. This feeding activity leads to stunted growth, leaf chlorosis, bud drop, and overall plant decline.
