Psyllaephagus pulvinatus is a specialized Hymenopteran insect belonging to the family Encyrtidae. In agricultural science, this species is primarily recognized as a beneficial biological agent that parasitizes various psyllid species (leafhoppers), serving as a natural regulator of their populations in orchards and various ecosystems.
The host plants affected by the psyllids targeted by this parasitoid include species like pistachio and several ornamental trees.
