Recilia hospes is a species of leafhopper belonging to the family Cicadellidae within the order Hemiptera. It is primarily recognized as an agricultural pest of significant concern in rice-growing regions across Asia, where its feeding habits directly impact crop health and yield stability.

This pest mainly targets rice (Oryza sativa) as its primary host plant. In addition to rice crops, Recilia hospes thrives on various grasses commonly found in wetland ecosystems, which serve as alternative food sources and refuges for the insect throughout the year.
