Crops and damage pattern: The pest targets raspberry canes exclusively. Larvae feed under the bark of young shoots, causing the tissue to shrivel, crack, and eventually die. This feeding process often creates open wounds that serve as entry points for fungal pathogens, leading to what is commonly known as cane blight.
