This aphid species specifically attacks black and red currants. The insects colonize the succulent tips of young shoots, leaf petioles, and developing flower clusters. By feeding on the sap, they cause stunted growth and structural deformation, which directly affects the vitality of the plant and reduces overall fruit quality and quantity.
