Slavum

Slavum is a genus of insects belonging to the Curculionidae family, commonly known as weevils. As members of the order Coleoptera, these pests have evolved specialized mouthparts that allow them to feed on various plant tissues, making them a significant concern for modern agriculture and plant health management programs.

The pest primarily affects grain crops, legumes, and specific types of ornamental plants. Damage is most critical during the vegetative stage, as the feeding activity of both adults and larvae disrupts the plant's vascular system.
