The Vaccinium aphid (Wahlgreniella vaccinii) is an insect species belonging to the family Aphididae within the order Hemiptera. This aphid is a specialized herbivore that has evolved to thrive on ericaceous plants, becoming a significant challenge for growers of commercial berry crops in various climate zones.

The primary hosts for this pest include plants of the genus Vaccinium, with a strong preference for highbush blueberries and cranberries. These aphids typically colonize the undersides of young, tender leaves and the growing tips of shoots, often remaining undetected until the population has reached damaging levels.

The biology of Wahlgreniella vaccinii involves a complex cycle of seasonal development. Eggs are overwintered on the woody tissues of the host plant, hatching in early spring.
