Heartleaf sida

Heartleaf sida (Sida cordifolia) is a persistent perennial herb belonging to the Malvaceae family. It is recognized as a significant weed species characterized by its hairy stems, heart-shaped leaves, and deep taproot system, which contributes to its resilience in various soil environments and climatic conditions.

The plant is widely distributed across tropical and subtropical regions worldwide. It primarily infests agricultural fields, including plantations of industrial crops, soybean, and corn, as well as degraded pastures.
