Acacia tetragonophylla

Acacia tetragonophylla is a significant species belonging to the Fabaceae family, widely recognized for its exceptional resilience in harsh Australian environments. Commonly known as the "dead finish," this woody shrub has evolved to thrive in arid conditions where water availability is minimal and temperatures fluctuate significantly.

The native distribution of this culture encompasses a vast range across Australia, primarily in semi-arid and desert regions. It is frequently observed in open woodlands, on rocky slopes, and along intermittent watercourses. Its ability to colonize nutrient-poor soils makes it an essential species for maintaining the ecological balance in these challenging territories.

Botanically, the plant is characterized by its stiff, pungent phyllodes, which are square in cross-section—hence the name "tetragonophylla."
