Garden rockcress (Latin: Arabis caucasica) is a perennial flowering plant belonging to the Brassicaceae family. Widely recognized in horticulture as a reliable ground cover, it is prized for its ability to create dense, evergreen mats that provide an excellent foundation for rock gardens, dry stone walls, and borders.

Native to the Caucasus region and parts of the Mediterranean, this plant has evolved to thrive in rocky, mountainous terrain. It is well-suited for xeriscaping due to its ability to tolerate poor soils and varying moisture levels once established.
