Squirrel three-awn

Squirrel three-awn (lat. Aristida sciurus) is a perennial grass species belonging to the Poaceae family. In agricultural science, this species is recognized for its significant role as a native forage component in arid and semi-arid ecosystems, particularly within Southern Africa.

The origin of this culture is strictly associated with hot, dry climates where other forage crops struggle to survive.
