Shrubby cinquefoil, scientifically classified as Dasiphora fruticosa (syn. Potentilla fruticosa), is a perennial deciduous shrub belonging to the Rosaceae family. In agricultural and horticultural contexts, it is recognized for its hardiness, nutritional value, and landscape versatility.

The plant originates from the temperate and subarctic regions of the Northern Hemisphere.
