Creeping thistle (Cirsium arvense), also widely known as Canada thistle, is a perennial plant belonging to the Asteraceae family. Chemical control typically involves systemic herbicides applied at specific growth stages when the plant is actively transporting nutrients to the roots. Tillage must be deep enough to address the perennial rootstocks, though timing is crucial to prevent re-establishment.
