Tasmanian dodder

Tasmanian dodder (Cuscuta tasmanica) is a parasitic plant belonging to the Convolvulaceae family. It is a highly specialized organism that lacks chlorophyll and true roots, relying entirely on host plants for survival. This plant is categorized as a noxious weed because it siphons vital nutrients and water from various host species.

The species originates from the Australian region, particularly Tasmania. Within its native range, it adapts to diverse ecological niches.
