Didymodon sinuosus is a species of moss belonging to the family Pottiaceae. While not an agricultural crop, this bryophyte is an important biological entity in various ecosystems, including agricultural landscapes where it serves as a sensitive indicator of micro-environmental conditions such as soil moisture and surface stability.

The species has a broad distribution across the temperate regions of the Northern Hemisphere, including parts of Europe and North America. It thrives in habitats where calcium-rich substrates are present, often colonizing limestone surfaces, moist rocky soils, or exposed earth that remains undisturbed for significant periods, such as ditch banks or field edges.

Botanically, Didymodon sinuosus is characterized by forming small, dark-green to brownish tufts. Its leaves possess distinctively sinuous or wavy margins, from which its Latin name is derived.
